Kamera penerus dari seri yang berhasil memikat pecinta fotografi, G12. Entah apa yang menyebabkan produsen Jepang ini tidak memakai angka 13 sebagai nama seri teranyarnya. Namun yang pasti, G1X dibekali dengan fitur-fitur pro level seperti membidik obyek dalam format RAW dan ISO mencapai 12.800.

Tentu saja kamera beresolusi 14,3 MP ini juga dapat merekam video HD 1080p dan memiliki 4x optical zoom dengan pengoperasian yang mudah. Kamera yang dipatok dengan harga USD 800 (Rp 7,3 juta) ini melenggang di ajang Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2012, Las Vegas lalu.

Nikon D4 adalah kamera full frame yang dirilis Nikon di ajang CES 2012. Untuk harga retailnya, ia dipatok di angka USD 6.000 atau sekitar Rp 54 juta.

Untuk seri ini, Nikon sengaja hanya memasang sensor beresolusi 16 juta piksel. Salah satu alasannya adalah, mereka ingin menghindari file dalam ukuran besar yang biasanya menyesaki hard drive pengguna.

4. Nikon D800

Hanya selang 2 minggu setelah D4 diluncurkan, D800 pun meluncur. Sama-sama full frame, sang ‘monster’ bisa dibawa pulang dengan uang USD 3.000 atau sekitar Rp 27 juta (body only).
Ia memiliki sensor full frame yang sangat besar dengan resolusi yang juga sangat kuat yakni 36,3 juta piksel dengan 51 titik autofocus.

Kamera mirorrless interchangeable lens kedua yang dikeluarkan Pentax.
